Students in grades 3-8 and grade 11 will take the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) between April 16 and May 25.
The computer-based English language arts and math tests will assist the district in monitoring our students’ academic progress to ensure that all students are college and career ready. Individual score reports will be mailed to your home this summer.

Twin Rivers is field-testing a comprehensive language intervention program at seven secondary school sites to address the needs of long-term English language learners. English learners are students whose primary or home language is a language other than English and who need special assistance in order to engage in learning.
The new curriculum is called English 3D.

All Twin Rivers schools will be closed for Spring Break from March 26 through April 2. Students will return on Tuesday, April 3. The district office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to noon on March 26 and closed to the public for the rest of Spring Break. Regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) will resume on April 3.

Twin Rivers Unified has a Seal of Biliteracy program. The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by a school, district, or state in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation.
Approximately 130 students districtwide will take Seal of Biliteracy language exam today, March 13. Languages include Farsi, French, Hmong, Lao, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
Since 2014, 367 Twin Rivers students have received the Seal of Biliteracy

Currently, Twin Rivers is part of a Sacramento County multi-district Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) that provides services to special needs students throughout the region. We are the largest school district in the SELPA.To better meet the educational needs of our special education students, Twin Rivers Unified has decided to leave the multi-district model to become a single district SELPA.
