Welcome to the LMC!

The more you read the better you read, so read, read, READ!LMC Kid.jpg
Choose books that are at your level and read every night for at least 20 minutes.  It is a proven fact, the more you read the better you get at reading!

*** Parents are welcome to open an account to check out books, students have access to computers for educational purposes, we have over 9,000 books, students are taught how to use a book catalog, locate books on shelves, develop an interest in various genres of books, how to conduct research for reports, book discussions, and poetry reading.

Hope to see you soon,
Mrs. Molina

Library Catalog

Families may now access Oakdale's library catalog, called Destiny,  from home. With this, students can search through Destiny to check for the availability of books they want to read or resources they might need in order to complete a school assignment.

Just follow the link below and look for Oakdale under the K-8 Schools heading.

Meet Mrs. Molina

I have been working as a Librarian for 7 years. I started working for the Rio Linda District at Foothill Oaks Elementary then was hired to work at Kohler which I enjoyed tremendously. I have worked at Castori Elementary which I split with Kohler. I have worked with PTA, Student Cite Council and DAC Rep.

Working in the Library gives me much joy. My whole purpose of working in the Library--Is To Put As Many Books As I Can In The Hands Of Children. I believe there is a book for every child to love. It's just finding the right one that they will want to read. Getting to know your students and finding their interests, then you will know what they like to read. A student will want to read anything he is interested in.

When I'm not at work I love to spend time with my grandkids, bake, garden and shop for treasures at flea markets, garage sales and consignment stores.
